LG OLED48C36LA review - Which?

Max light output HDR (high dynamic range) while displaying small white square taking up 10% of the screen (measured in Nits)Using a huge database of over one million visual date points, AI Picture Pro uses deep-learning algorithms to recognise content, remove noise and optimise the picture. AI Sound Pro leans from more than 17 million audio data points, identifying voices, effects and frequencies. From here, it optimises the sound by genre, giving a more natural sound quality. The LG OLED48C1 is a terrific all-round TV and one that’s easy to recommend to anybody. The Philips 48OLED806 might be better for pure cinematic performance but this LG is more usable and significantly easier to get the best out of. OLED48C26LB and LG - AVForums Difference Between a LG OLED48C26LB and LG - AVForums

LG's self-lit OLED TV is the pinnacle of television technology. The screen's pixels are all self-lit, resulting in perfect contrast, 100 percent colour accuracy, and pixel-perfect details for the ultimate viewing experience. You get even more brightness and sharpness with the new OLED evo technology, which has a 9 Gen5 AI processor and Brightness Booster technology for true brilliance in content clarity. Everything is in 4K Ultra HD resolution. Excellent picture and surprisingly good sound I have had this TV for 3 weeks now and am very satisfied with its overall performance. The colour is excellent in all lighting conditions and it has a rich sound without the need for an additional sound-bar which many TVs seem to need. That’s all controlled by the brains of the TV, the latest incarnation of LG's Alpha 9 processor, the quad-core Alpha 9 Gen 4. With this new birth comes a few picture and sound upgrades. Object Enhancement is now sophisticated enough to recognise whole bodies as well as faces, animals, cars and other things. Sound can now be upmixed to an Atmos-virtualised 5.1.2.

AI Sound Pro leans from more than 17 million audio data points, identifying voices, effects and frequencies. From here, it optimises the sound by genre, giving a more natural sound quality. Set up was quite straightforward, and as the first "smart TV" that I have owned, I was impressed how easily it integrated with my Humax PVR and even replicated the remote controller so I only need one for everything now. It’s possible to get a more consistently impactful feel if you switch off the Dolby Atmos processing, and some more volume too, but the bass isn’t handled brilliantly and tends to muddy those clear waters that LG has worked hard to make pond weed-free this year.
